About the Clayton Pioneer

In 2003, we purchased the Clayton Pioneer and published our first issue on May 9.

We’ve lived in Clayton since 1968. Our six children all attended Clayton schools. Here is where we hike the hills, drive the roads, shop in the stores, eat in the restaurants and go to church. And, here is where we work.

Our offices are located in The Village Oaks building at 6200 Center Street, Suite H in downtown Clayton. We are on the parking lot side of the building. The Clayton Pioneer is currently published twice monthly and delivered by mail or carrier to 13,000 residents in the Clayton Valley.

The Clayton Pioneer – It’s Your Paper:
We cover the news of Clayton (most of it, anyway). We tell you what happened on the streets, at City Hall, in the churches and the schools. We tell you about the local weddings (who wore what and where the party was), about who got engaged and who celebrated an anniversary. We tell you who was born and who died.

We bring you features and columns by locals on local schools, hiking, weather, gardening, technology, real estate, investing, health, movies, pets and relationships.

If you are looking for a job, a car or a boyfriend we give you classified advertising. And if you are a charity or a school, or if you lost or found a pet, we give you FREE classified advertising.
